GPT-6 Gives ChatGPT Interactive Answers With Intelligent UI

OpenAI is rolling GPT-6 out to all ChatGPT users with Intelligent UI, which builds charts, forms and buttons into answers instead of plain text.

OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 in ChatGPT worldwide, together with a feature called Intelligent UI. Instead of answering only in text, ChatGPT can now build the format of an answer around the question, with charts, forms, tappable buttons and small interactive tools inside the conversation.

What Intelligent UI does

With Intelligent UI, a response can contain graphics, buttons, forms, charts and interactive elements that you use directly in the chat. OpenAI says it gave GPT-6 the freedom to choose the most useful interface for each question, while keeping the experience fast and familiar on web and mobile.

Technically, the company describes a library of native, streamable components and a compiler that processes the interface while the model is still generating it. The practical effect is that the interface appears progressively, piece by piece, rather than after the full answer is finished. OpenAI also admits that the model’s design judgment still needs work and that what it can create will expand over time.

Who gets it and when

The rollout starts with Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users in the Chat tab. Free and Go users follow the next day. Paid plans get GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go users get the lighter GPT-6 Luna. For Enterprise, availability depends on what workplace admins have enabled.

The feature reaches accounts gradually, and it does not work everywhere. OpenAI’s help page lists it on the web and in supported, updated apps, at thinking levels from Instant to Extra High. The Pro thinking level continues to run on GPT-6 Astra and does not support Intelligent UI, and neither do the older ChatGPT desktop apps for macOS and Windows. GPT-6 replaces the “Latest” option in the model menu, while GPT-5.6 Sol remains available as a separate choice.

Speed claims

OpenAI says GPT-6 can begin answering while it is still thinking or working with tools, then add more without waiting for another prompt. For questions that need web search, it says GPT-6 Instant starts answering 44% sooner on average than GPT-5.6 Instant. In an internal evaluation of everyday agentic tasks, it says GPT-6 Extra High starts answering as quickly as GPT-5.6 Medium while scoring higher than GPT-5.6 Extra High. These are figures from OpenAI’s own tests, not independent results.

What this means for you

For most people, the change shows up as answers that look less like documents and more like small apps. A question about loan payments may produce a calculator, a question about a topic you are learning may produce an interactive diagram, and a planning question may produce a form you fill in.

The format also raises questions that the launch does not fully answer. It is not yet clear how Intelligent UI will work through the API, which matters for developers who build on OpenAI’s models. And since the model now creates forms inside the chat, it is worth knowing what happens to information you type into them. Until that is clearer, check your data controls and avoid entering sensitive details into a generated form.

If you do not see Intelligent UI yet, it is most likely a matter of rollout timing. Update your app, use the Chat tab, and check back in a day or two.
